In the novel, he accepts her as a disciple out of whim and in part out of pity, he was angry at her for treating all low level janitors in the pill division and wanted to "scam" as much money from him as possible, but the other part was because of the ring that was given to him by the dying dragons, she took a liking to it and didnt want to return it to him, he was surprised since it means there is an affinity/connection between the ring and Subing, which is why he gave her that ring, it is superior to any other spatial rings in this realm, but at the end of the day, Tan Yun always have a soft spot for women even if they are out to kill him lol
He does forgive his 10,000th previous incarnate's adopted daughter for her betrayal in the end, but only after she is reincarnated and have learned her lesson

Its just the limitations of the cgi. The movements of the characters bodies/avatars are just not very good. So they do they best they can to tell the story, given these limitations. However, its not as if it can't be done. The new donghua Xun Jian has some excellent fight scenes in the 1st couple of episodes (that is if you can get past the horrible prequel in the 1st 10 minutes and get to the actual story!)
